Baseball Game Preview: North Delta Green Wave vs. Manchester Academy Mavericks

For the second straight game, North Delta will face off against Manchester Academy. The Green Wave will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mavericks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

North Delta is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Manchester Academy with a sharp 7-1 victory. Considering the Green Wave have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Hoshell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jett Manning, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Karson Ware was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

North Delta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manchester Academy only managed two hits.
