Even if things were shuffled around here and there, the power rankings for this week won't seem too unfamiliar if you've been following along. Don't let that fool you into thinking nothing interesting happened, though. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.
Can't Touch This
Hillcrest's 41 - 20 win over Nampa last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Oakley Hussey. Hussey rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns. That performance landed Hussey among the top power-ranked players for the week.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another game, another high-octane performance for North Fremont last week (their 3rd in a row). It breezed past Grangeville with a final score of 57 - 28. North Fremont did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated. With 11 consecutive wins, North Fremont boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Highland (2nd in the power rankings) and Rocky Mountain (1st). Both teams are rolling into the game after last-week wins. Only one team will win this week, so we'll find out on Saturday which team fails to repeat its success.
