The Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Whitney RVT 59-15 at home. Fans of Academy of Science and Innovation have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Academy of Science and Innovation was led to victory by Symber Ortiz-Sutton and Maiara Rodriguez. Ortiz-Sutton scored 21 points along with five steals, while Rodriguez dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Rodriguez has scored at least 25% of Academy of Science and Innovation's points. Karina Falcon was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Academy of Science and Innovation's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Whitney RVT, they bumped their record down to 1-2 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Academy of Science and Innovation will finish 2023 at home by hosting Terryville at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Whitney RVT will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wilcox RVT at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
