After losing to the Suwannee Bulldogs the last time they met, the Taylor County Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Taylor County walked away with a 63-50 win over Suwannee on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Taylor County.
Taylor County was led to victory by Trayce Abercrombie and Allen Collier. Abercrombie scored 18 points along with four steals, while Collier dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Louis Gaddy Jr. was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Taylor County pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Suwannee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Taylor County will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Taylor County in Florida (Lincoln is ranked 111th, while Taylor County is ranked 464th). As for Suwannee, they will be playing at home against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
