The Cedaredge Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the Rangely Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Rangely will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Cedaredge extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Bruins' pitcher stepped up to hand Dolores a 15-0 shutout. Give the Bruins' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Logan Sanders was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Carson Rupp and Rylan Brooks did most of the damage at the plate: Rupp went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Brooks went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Rupp has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trenton Ryan, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Cedaredge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rangely). They were the clear victors by a 17-8 margin over Moffat County on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Like Cedaredge, Rangely also got a great game from a two-way player: Hunter Fouch. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Fouch also tossed a walk, which is notable because Rangely is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 0-11 otherwise. Fouch was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Rangely got a massive performance out of Bradley Lambros, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Lambros has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Trey Lewis also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Cedaredge's record is now 19-3. As for Rangely, their record now sits at 4-11.
Rangely's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cedaredge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .489. It's a different story for Rangely, though, as they've only averaged .358. Will they be able to contain Cedaredge's hitters?
Everything went Cedaredge's way against Rangely in their previous matchup back in April, as Cedaredge made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
