Snyder and Big Spring are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. Snyder will head out to take on Big Spring at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Snyder had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Liberty on Tuesday. Snyder was the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over Liberty. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, Big Spring got the win against Estacado on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-6. The result was nothing new for the Steers, who have now won seven contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Big Spring got a massive performance out of Jojo Gonzalez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave Gonzalez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Analia Hinojosa, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI.

Big Spring was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .607. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Snyder pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Big Spring, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Everything went Snyder's way against Big Spring in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Snyder made off with a 13-2 victory. Will Snyder repeat their success, or does Big Spring has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
