The Eastern Hancock Royals will take on the Tri Titans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eastern Hancock is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Wapahani an 18-0 shutout on Thursday. The Royals have beaten the Raiders the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Raiders has come to flipping the script.
Nieko Engleking and McKenna Stewart were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Engleking pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Stewart tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. At the plate, Engleking went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Stewart went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Stewart a new career-high.

In other batting news, Emree Truitt was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Headlee, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Eastern Hancock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Tri had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted since June 1, 2024.
Macey Ballard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 15 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lyla Williams, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Eastern Hancock's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Tri, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Eastern Hancock was able to grind out a solid win over Tri when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-3. Do the Royals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
