Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nokomis). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Okaw Valley Timberwolves 75-19. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-7.

Natalie Brownback was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 15 on her way to 22 points and four steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024. Grace Dewerff was another key player, putting up 13 points and six steals.

Nokomis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Nokomis' win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Okaw Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Nokomis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-37 victory against Edinburg/South Fork on the 13th. Okaw Valley has also already played their next match (against Argenta-Oreana), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
