The Wayzata Trojans will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Champlin Park Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Wayzata's 23-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell to Rosemount 89-85.
The losing side was boosted by Kate Amelotte, who scored 29 points. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Burns, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Champlin Park was able to grind out a solid win over Century on Friday, taking the game 66-58. The win was just what Champlin Park needed coming off of a 82-41 loss in their prior match.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-2.
Everything came up roses for Wayzata against Champlin Park in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 84-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wayzata since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
