BROWNSBORO, Texas - the Bears scored 20 points in the second quarter to secure a big 34-6 victory over
Westwood (Palestine, Texas) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, Brownsboro led 27-0 at the half.
Westwood's only touchdown came on a 10-yard run by
Colton Frazier in the third quarter.
The loss comes after Westwood defeated Huntington 54-48 last week. The victory was a step in the right direction for BHS, which was coming off a 58-14 defeat at the hands of Trinity Christian in its previous game. The victory snapped Brownsboro's two-game losing streak.
In a non-conference game next week Brownsboro (1-2) takes on Wills Point, and Westwood (1-2) will go up against Malakoff also in a non-conference game.
