Volleyball Recap: Helix Gets the Win

If West Hills wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Helix, they should've done a better job of containing Nathan Steele. The Highlanders came out on top against the Wolf Pack by a score of 3-1 on Friday thanks in part to Steele, who had 23 digs and three aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Helix was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-20.

Helix's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for West Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Helix will face off against Pacific Ridge at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Hills, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
