Volleyball Recap: Brookstone's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games + How To Watch

It was a good run, but Brookstone unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Northside Patriots by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Brookstone actually scored more points across those three sets (61-60), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 15-13.

Carsyn Galligan paced Brookstone's offense, picking up 16 kills. Galligan got some help from Evangeline Gutierrez and her 24 assists. Galligan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Brookstone's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Northside, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-12.

Coincidentally, Brookstone and Northside will both be playing Columbus the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
