North Augusta has gone 9-1 against White Knoll recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. North Augusta got a good showing from Avery Rushing, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rushing has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Ayla Holmes was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, White Knoll didn't have quite enough to beat North Augusta on Saturday and fell 6-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost five in a row.
Allie Royer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ashlynn Blackstone was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Even though they lost, White Knoll hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Having lost for the first time this season, White Knoll fell to 1-1-1. As for North Augusta, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Augusta hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. However, it's not like White Knoll struggles in that department as they've averaged .328. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
