Mayfield's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Alamogordo Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Mayfield was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 25-16.

Madison Martinez paced Mayfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Martinez got some help from Isobella Munker and her 15 assists. Munker also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alexa Chavez, each putting up three.

Mayfield has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Alamogordo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Mayfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Gadsden on the 16th. As for Alamogordo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Las Cruces on the 16th.
