After losing to the Lasara Lions the last time they met, the Agua Dulce Longhorns decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Agua Dulce sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 win over Lasara on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Agua Dulce.
Agua Dulce got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Vinton out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Avery Calvez, who scored 11 points.
The win got Agua Dulce back to even at 3-3. As for Lasara, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Agua Dulce's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hebbronville at 12:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Lasara, they will face off against Kaufer at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Kaufer's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Lasara has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
