 Like Scott, Wayne also got a great game from a two-way player:  Logan Prater. He  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk). Prater was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his six plate appearances.
 Prater wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Riley Brown, who  went 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Wayne, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record  this season.
 Scott will be playing in front of their home fans against Poca at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Scott is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.3  runs per game this season. As for Wayne, they will head out on the road to  square off against  St. Joseph Central at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. St. Joseph Central knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Wayne likes a good challenge.
