Football Recap: North Fork Falls Despite Big Games from Mazzden Balko and Braeden Flores + How To Watch

North Fork lost against Meeker back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Miners fell 46-34 to the Cowboys. The Miners' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

North Fork's loss came despite strong showings from Braeden Flores and Mazzden Balko. Flores rushed for 134 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while Balko rushed for 57 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Balko also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making six total tackles.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for North Fork, adding 12 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Jezai Hottinger: he added 12 points with four field goals.

North Fork's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Meeker, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
