The Southeast Halifax Trojans will be playing at home against the Northwest Halifax Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Southeast Halifax focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
Southeast Halifax's four-game losing streak came to an end. They took down Rocky Mount Prep 82-66. The win was just what Southeast Halifax needed coming off of a 81-49 loss in their prior match.
Trayvese Silver continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with five steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodney Johnson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Northwest Halifax came up short against Warren County on Friday and fell 51-39. Northwest Halifax has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Southeast Halifax's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Northwest Halifax, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
Everything came up roses for Southeast Halifax against Northwest Halifax in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 67-29 win. With Southeast Halifax ahead 38-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
