Cam Desmarais was on fire: he scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Zeke Plantinga, who scored 11 points.
Sutton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cam Benedict, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Gara, who scored 12 points.
Whitinsville Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Sutton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitinsville Christian will face off against Nipmuc Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nipmuc Regional presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Whitinsville Christian in Massachusetts (Nipmuc Regional is ranked 90th, while Whitinsville Christian is ranked 226th). As for Sutton, they will head out on the road to square off against Douglas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
