Even though the Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the Pacelli Cardinals still came out on top. Pacelli blew past Weyauwega-Fremont 79-58. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pacelli also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Jaydon Awe went supernova for Pacelli, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 35 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Schurk, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Pacelli and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Pacelli will head out on the road to face off against Tri-County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Pacelli is ranked 70th). As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Berlin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
