A Season-Best Effort from Jayden Evans Leads West Johnston over Smithfield-Selma
West Johnston was led to victory by Jayden Evans, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Evans wasn't messing around, forcing a fumble and making 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception. The game was his third straight with nine or more total tackles dating back to last season.

South Johnston and Hunt are set to duel on Friday. Langston will face off against J.T. Thomas, the Warriors' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Fike was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Jerimiah Peart did his best to prevent it. C.B. Aycock had no answer to Peart as he rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
The defeat snapped Fike's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. Peart and Fike will square off against East Wake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
