Basketball Recap: Eaglecrest Finds Playoff Glory Versus Fairview

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eaglecrest had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 54-33 margin over the Fairview Knights. The Raptors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Eaglecrest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adaure Ozor, who posted eight points and five boards. Ozor is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games she's played. Glorielle Mukeba was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

Eaglecrest was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 12-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Fairview's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucy Michaels, who had nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Murra, who earned six points.

The victory (which was Eaglecrest's third in a row) raised their record to 14-10. As for Fairview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Eaglecrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-49 defeat against Denver East on the 1st. Fairview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
