Hamilton faced Hartford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Chargers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Orioles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Saturday.

Hamilton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-9, 25-13.

Hamilton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season. As for Hartford, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hamilton will challenge Brookfield East at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hartford, they will take on Nicolet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each contest than the last.
