The Northfield Nighthawks had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.9 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They blew past Lincoln 82-17 at home. Northfield has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 25 points or more this season.
Northfield found their leader in underclassman Madison Bethel, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Bethel hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Alena Vondracek, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Lincoln lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amina Abdikadir, who scored six points. Asyah Sturgeon was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Northfield's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Lincoln, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Regis Groff the next time they take the court. Lincoln will host Regis Groff at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Northfield will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
