The Cornerstone Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-36 walloping at the hands of Yavneh Academy. Cornerstone Christian Academy has not had much luck with Yavneh Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Cornerstone Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Nason Dorman, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That was a full 38.9% of Cornerstone Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Grey Anders was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yavneh Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brendy Eber, who scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eber has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Rael, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Cornerstone Christian Academy's loss was their 11th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-12. As for Yavneh Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
Cornerstone Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Bishop Gorman at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Gorman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Yavneh Academy, they will be playing at home against North Dallas Adventist Academy at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
