Haines City has struggled against Winter Haven recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Haines City had strong showings from Mikeyla Hill, who scored 17 points, and Arissa Jenkins, who scored 16 points. Jenkins hasn't dropped below 16 points for seven straight games.
Venice is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Haines City, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
Wednesday's match is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: Venice have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.8 rebounds per game.
