The Breckenridge Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Braymer Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Breckenridge is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Breckenridge had to suffer through a rough 69-18 loss at the hands of Brunswick. While losing is never fun, Breckenridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while Brunswick is ranked 98th).
Meanwhile, Braymer pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Grundy County/Newtown-Harris.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Carter Shoe, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Stone, who scored 12 points.
Breckenridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Braymer, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Breckenridge took a serious blow against Braymer in their previous matchup back in January of 2015, falling 57-29. Thankfully for Breckenridge, Austin Hall (who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
