The Salpointe Catholic Lancers stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Nogales on the road to the tune of 73-24. The victory was nothing new for Salpointe Catholic as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Salpointe Catholic was led to victory by Sidney Anderson and Taliyah Henderson. Anderson scored 13 points along with six assists and three steals, while Henderson dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Henderson has scored all season. Hannah Williams was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Salpointe Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Nogales, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Salpointe Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Canyon del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Canyon del Oro is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Nogales, they will head out on the road to take on Desert View at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Desert View comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last 13 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
