The Garden County Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Kimball Longhorns on Tuesday. Hopefully Garden County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 25 to 2 on the offensive boards, a fact Garden County proved. They blew past Banner County 44-16 on the road. The win was just what Garden County needed coming off of a 57-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Garden County found their leader in underclassman Ridglyn Stanczyk, who scored 17 points along with 7 steals. Payton Fornander was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Kimball was the victim of a rough 48-25 defeat at the hands of Leyton on Friday. Kimball was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.
The losses dropped Garden County to 1-1 and Banner County to 0-2.
