The Orange Panthers entered their tilt with the Eastern Alamance Eagles with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Orange came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 75-67 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Orange's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Coleman Cloer, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Cloer is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Kai Wade was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Despite the loss, Eastern Alamance still got an impressive performance from Jordan Matthews, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Reaves, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Orange pushed their record up to 8-10 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Eastern Alamance, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
Coincidentally, Orange and the Eagles will both be playing the Warriors the next time they take the court. Orange will head out to face the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
