After flying high against the Bessemer Academy Rebels last Friday, the Monroe Academy Volunteers came back down to earth. Monroe Academy was dealt a 57-25 loss at the hands of the Warriors on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Monroe Academy has scored all season.
Lee-Scott Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Riley Fields led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fields has scored all season. Ellie Keesee was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Monroe Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lee-Scott Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
Monroe Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lee-Scott Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
