Mishawaka has gone a perfect 6-0 against Plymouth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cavemen will face off against the Pilgrims/Rockies at 7:00 p.m. Mishawaka will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Friday, Mishawaka made easy work of Warsaw and carried off a 42-21 win. Considering the Cavemen have won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kadyn O'Neal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 247 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Landon Snyder, who rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Meanwhile, Plymouth played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 41-14 loss at the hands of NorthWood. The Pilgrims/Rockies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mishawaka will have to keep a close watch on Finnigan Holm and Benjamin Shively, a pair of players who had a big impact on Plymouth's prior game. Holm rushed for 117 yards and one score, while Shively rushed for 114 yards and one TD. Plymouth is 2-1 when Shively posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.
Plymouth now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mishawaka, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Mishawaka has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 342.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Plymouth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 210.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Mishawaka against Plymouth when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-14 win. In that matchup, the Cavemen amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
