Despite the defeat, San Jacinto Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Broxon Potter threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jude Mendez and Kenrick Siefken. Mendez rushed for 234 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 carries while Siefken rushed for 120 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Mendez's longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
San Jacinto Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Holy Cross, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.
