The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cedar Creek Christian in their matchups with Temple Christian Academy: they've now lost eight in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Temple Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Troy Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Jenkins has scored at least 25% of Temple Christian Academy's points. Cameron Carpenter was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds.
Cedar Creek Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Temple Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Creek Christian will take on Joshua Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Temple Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against River City Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. River City Science Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
