The Nova Classical Academy Knights will challenge the Minneapolis South Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Minneapolis South took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Nova Classical Academy, who comes in off a win.
Nova Classical Academy not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2025 (when they won 15-4). They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Harding. Nova Classical Academy's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kincaid Gerber made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Mikko Newman was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Will Choi also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Nova Classical Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harding only posted an OBP of .276.
Meanwhile, Minneapolis South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Paul Central.
Iver Solberg made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Cameron Ciesielczyk was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Minneapolis South's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Nova Classical Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
