Westfield is 10-0 against the Eagles since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Westfield Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Eisenhower Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Westfield put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past MacArthur 40-18.
Meanwhile, Eisenhower was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past the Wildcats 46-18 at home. Eisenhower pushed the score to 40-9 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.
Eisenhower's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Keiora Gaines, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Genesis Watson, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Westfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for Eisenhower, their victory bumped their record up to 7-21.
Everything went Westfield's way against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January as the Mustangs made off with a 63-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
