The Immokalee Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 65-16 loss at the hands of Lely. Immokalee has not had much luck with Lely recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Lashawnda Dareus was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 13 points along with six steals. Fara Louissaint was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Immokalee's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.8 points per game. As for Lely, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immokalee will take on East Lee County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lely, they will look to defend their home court on January 12th against Palmetto Ridge at 7:00 p.m.
