Sadly, the Union Spartans are still looking for their first win of the season after 19 games. They were dealt a 76-30 defeat at the hands of North Duplin on Friday. Union has not had much luck with North Duplin recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
North Duplin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Kelly out in front who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kelly has scored all season. Dujuan Armwood was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Union's loss was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-19. As for North Duplin, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.
Union will head out on the road to challenge Hobbton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union is facing Hobbton at the right time seeing as Hobbton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for North Duplin, they will be playing at home against Rosewood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Duplin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 257 points over their last four games.
