The Wiley Panthers were the 69-46 winner over the Kim/Branson Mustangs when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Wiley fell 54-46 to Kim/Branson on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Wiley still got an impressive performance from Rhett McDonald, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McDonald has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bo Arnold, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Kim/Branson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cameron Rosas out in front who scored 13 points along with three steals. Trotter Watkins was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Wiley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Kim/Branson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Cheraw the next time they take the court. Kim/Branson will head out to face Cheraw at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Wiley will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
