Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Thursday, Prairiland took a serious blow against Edgewood, falling 66-24. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Prairiland in their matchups with Edgewood: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Wolfe City might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Honey Grove an easy 50-26 victory. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wolfe City has scored all season.
Prairiland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Wolfe City, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Prairiland ended up a good deal behind Wolfe City in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, losing 56-38. Can Prairiland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
