Animo De La Hoya was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Los Angeles Leadership Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Los Angeles Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Oscar Hernandez led the charge by scoring eight points along with two steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Hernandez posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Hernandez, who scored five points along with five steals.
Animo De La Hoya's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
