The Barnum Bombers will square off against the Two Harbors Agates at 1:45 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
If Barnum beats Two Harbors with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Bombers blew past Cromwell 10-3 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bombers, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Landen Oetterer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eoghan Heaslip, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Barnum was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Two Harbors had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Kelley by a score of 14-9 on Tuesday. The Agates' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Cooper Anderson and Anders Hastings did most of the damage at the plate: Anderson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Hastings went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That home run was Anderson's first of the season. Dalton Seagren was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
The win made it two in a row for Barnum and bumps their season record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Two Harbors, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Barnum has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Two Harbors struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Barnum beat Two Harbors 6-1 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Do the Bombers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Agates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
