The McDowell Titans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by A.C. Reynolds on the road and fell 58-14. McDowell has struggled against A.C. Reynolds recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Although McDowell took the loss, they still got scores from Hayden Williams and Jackson Marsh.
A.C. Reynolds' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wesley Rumbough led the charge by picking up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Hayden Craig, who threw for 202 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
McDowell's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for A.C. Reynolds, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
McDowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. A.C. Reynolds will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Gaston at 7:30 p.m. North Gaston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while A.C. Reynolds is ranked 48th).
