A Season-Best Performance from Jayden Ortiz Leads Wheeler over Calumet New Tech
Wheeler was led to victory by Jayden Ortiz, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ortiz rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.
If the past is any indication, Ortiz could be in store for another big game when he takes on Griffith on Friday. When Ortiz last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.
