Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southside). They put the hurt on the Wellborn Panthers with a sharp 67-42 victory on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for Southside who have now won three matchups in a row.

Southside's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Wellborn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside and New Hope will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Southside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wellborn, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wellborn Panthers challenge the Cleburne County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th.
