The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Romero, who went 1-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Olympian couldn't beat Mira Mesa on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Eagles fell 9-6 to the Marauders. The Eagles have struggled against the Marauders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Gabriella Mendiola was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. NiKayla Flowers was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Sweetwater's record is now 7-4. As for Olympian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-2.
Olympian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sweetwater has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .544. It's a different story for Olympian, though, as they've only averaged .342. Will they be able to contain Sweetwater's hitters?
