Among those leading the charge was Mixon Bankston, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Ben Bienvenu was another key contributor, gaining 68 total yards and two touchdowns.
St. Mary's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Drake Griffin and his three sacks.
Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for St. Mary, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Montgomery will be playing in front of their home fans against Westminster Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Westminster Christian Academy is ranked 275th, while Montgomery is ranked 255th). St. Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
