West Tallahatchie is 7-0 against Leland since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. On Wednesday, West Tallahatchie was able to grind out a solid victory over Simmons, taking the game 58-47. 58 seems to be a good number for West Tallahatchie as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Among those leading the charge was Drexel Miller, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Roosevelt Phillips, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Leland ended up a good deal behind South Delta on Tuesday and lost 58-39. Leland has struggled against South Delta recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
West Tallahatchie's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Leland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
