After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Meadows School, the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 56-38 win over Laughlin.
Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bradie Xaysana, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Xaysana also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Burks, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Laughlin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mohave Accelerated at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Mohave Accelerated has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Laughlin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Founders Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Founders Classical Academy is ranked 78th, while Laughlin is ranked 103rd).
