The Illinois Math & Science Academy Titans will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on February 1st. Illinois Math & Science Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 667th, while the Falcons are ranked 264th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-21, which was the final score in Illinois Math & Science Academy's tilt against the Huskers on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Illinois Math & Science Academy in their matchups with the Huskers: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Parkview Christian Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They came out on top against Families of Faith Christian Academy by a score of 63-54.
It was another big night for Gracie Lambes, who scored 45 points along with six assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Howard, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Illinois Math & Science Academy dropped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.3 points per game. As for Parkview Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
